Seat foam and pads for VW Volkswagen. If you want restore your VW Volkswagen seats, then new seat foam and seat covers go hand in hand. If the old seat padding is falling apart, just change it. It is fairly easy to do a nice looking seat restoration if you just do a couple of small things. Sand and or repaint any exposed metal parts of the frame. Reweld any broken frame pieces. Secure any broken springs so they will not poke out. Cover the springs with a heavy cloth or sisel material to keep them from cutting into the foam. You then want to put the covers over the seat once the foam is in place. Try to line the beading on the seat covers with the edges and corners of the seat frames. Get them tight and square. I have used a polyester filler that looks like cotton to stuff in any corner that had a wrinkle.
