Clutch bowden tubes for VW Volkswagen need to be replaced when cracked or broken. Not having enough bow in the bowden tube when installed can cause clutch chatter when taking off in first gear. It sounds like your motor is going to fall out. The bowden tube needs at least 1 inch of curve to operate correctly. This can be achieved by simply installing washer on the end of the tube. It will shorten the distance it can be installed and cause more bow. Try 3 washer for starters. That usually works. Case half washer fit.
