Stock and performance chromoly valve retainers for VW Volkswagen. Under normal use and stock spring pressures, stock steel valve retainer seem to work fine. When installing high rev springs, it is recommended to upgrade to chromoly retainers. High pressure springs can sometimes pull the keepers right through the stock stamped steel retainers.
