This is a no hassle zero offset bolt on front disc brake kit for VW Volkswagen Standard Beetle 1966-1977 (not Super Beetle). This kit will fit stock VW drum spindles and allow you to bolt on disc brakes without removing the spindles. Get rid of those dinosaur front drum brakes and upgrade to the stopping power of disc brakes. Disc brakes have superior braking power over drums and since 70% of your braking is the front, the difference becomes night and day. This kit will convert your front drum brakes to disc brakes. It includes 2 new brake rotors, 2 new calipers with pads, 2 caliper brackets and caliper mounting hardware. There is no need to remove the spindles or realign the wheels. Old bearings, spindle nuts, thrust washers, and grease caps can also be reused. If you are questioning whether your front ball joint spindles are early or late, there is an easy way to check. 1966 through mid-1968 VW Volkswagen Beetle original early spindles take early style tie rod ends with 17mm nuts. Late model spindles mid-1968 through 1977 are made for late model tie rod ends with 19mm nuts and with a larger diameter stub and use wheel bearings and grease seals with a larger inside diameter.
