This is a rebuilt front end for VW Volkswagen standard Beetle 1953-1965 and Karmann Ghia (not Super Beetle). We prefer to use original OEM factory VW German beams over the cheaper lightweight Brazilian beams. The overall weight and construction of a German beam is vastly superior. Our spindles are reamed and bushed with new king and link pins in the USA because we have seen too many horrible hack jobs from the cheap Brazilian imported rebuilt beams. We rebuild German beams to stock specifications or add weld in adjusters to raise or lower your car. Weld in adjuster allow 3 inches of adjustment, up or down. If you choose lower spindles and an adjustable beam, we recommend you have the adjusters installed in the 50/50 position. Half way up and half way down. If you choose the standard adjustable lowered beam with dropped spindles, your car will be on the ground and have no adjustment up. Other options include standard and lowered drum spindles or lowered disc brake spindles for specific applications. Some disc brake spindles require late model rotors, wheel bearings, thrust washers and nuts.There is no accommodation for backing plates when dropped spindle disc brakes are used. If you purchase a front disc brake kit and a front end, we will install the spindles from the kit and use the king and link pins from the beam.
