New forged 2.5 inch dropped spindles are for VW Bugs and Volkswagen Karmann Ghias with link pin (1950-1965) or ball joint (1966-1977) front ends and are available in dropped drum or dropped disc brake. Drop spindles will allow you to lower your car and retain the stock shock travel and ride. The disc brake spindles are made to for late model rotors using 4 on 130 VW pattern (same as Ghia and early Type 3), 5 on 130 Porsche pattern, drilled Chevy or blank rotors with no pattern (custom drilled). Some (1966- to mid 1968) cars require 2 late model tie rod ends with 19mm tie rod end nuts instead of 17mm and new inner wheel bearings and grease seals. There is no accommodations for backing plates when dropped disc brake spindles are used. Link pin disc brake spindles require late model bug spindle nuts, thrust washers, and grease caps. If you want your link pin spindles bushed with new king and link pins installed, we have them preassembled, so you can just bolt them on. We reuse the factory king pin carrier so there is a $50 rebate when you return you old ones.
