New alternator conversion kits for VW Volkswagen includes a new standard finish alternator with internal voltage regulator, 3 piece black backing plates, Continental fan belt, stock black pulley, stock strap and standard finish stand. If you choose to upgrade into a higher amperage alternator than stock, you will find that our higher amp alternators are rewound in USA using all new parts (nothing rebuilt). Rewinding the armature is the correct way to produce more amperage. Other companies sell inferior high output alternators that are just rewired to make more amperage and actually put out less voltage. If you want it done correctly, you must rewind the armature. That is the way we do it.
