This is a front disc brake conversion kit for VW Volkswagen that bolts on to the original stock spindles for Super Beetle 1971-1979. Get rid of those dinosaur front drum brakes and upgrade to the stopping power of disc brakes. Disc brakes have superior braking power over drums and since 70% of your braking is the front, the difference becomes night and day. This kit will convert your VW Super Beetle front drum brakes to disc brakes. It includes 2 new brake rotors, 2 new oem style replacement calipers with pads, 2 disc brake brackets and caliper mounting hardware. It is for 4 bolt wheel pattern (4 on 130 late model bug). There is no accommodations for backing plates . Late model wheel bearings and grease seals are reusable from the original drum brakes or can be purchased new. Old spindle nuts, thrust washers, and grease caps can also be reused . Optional 4 on 130 VW Volkswagen, 5 on 130 Porsche, 5 on 4 3/4 Chevy wheel lug bolt patterns.
