Door panels for VW Volkswagen. This is a full set of front and rear door panels for Standard Bug and Super Beetle sedan (not convertible). These panels are only available in black. This is our economy panel set. If you need a special colors or restoration quality door panels, please order our deluxe Made in USA door panels. When installing door panels, it is imperative that you install all the door panel boots for the door panel clips and thin layer of plastic (painters plastic at home depot works fine) before you install the panels. I spray glue the plastic to the door. This creates a vapor barrier to protect the door panel. This was originally done by VW but is often missing on old cars. Water will go in the doors from the outer window scrapers. There are drains at the bottom of the door so the water can escape. The door should be cleaned for debris before installing the panels. Dirt will trap moisture. Moisture will attack door panel and cause the panel warp, thus it start to come apart.
