Thick flanged sedan 1 1/2, 1 5/8, 1 3/4 inch merged competition exhaust and black, ceramic and stainless steel mufflers for VW Volkswagen. Merged exhaust for VW Volkswagen Bug and Ghia sedan. This is a merged exhaust with mandrel bends and thick exhaust flanges. Merged exhaust is for performance motors that need to breath. Smaller cc engines with mild cams and little head work only require 1 1/2 inch tubing. Larger motors with high compression, extensive head work and radical cams should use 1 5/8 inch tubing. Installing a large diameter header on a small motor only slows down the air speed and makes flat spots on the bottom end. Bigger is not always better. There is no accommodation for heater boxes or heat riser. These mufflers will fit our thick flange headers.
