Dropped front disc brake kit for VW Volkswagen. This is a disc brake kit with dropped 2.5 inch lowered spindles for ball joint or king and link pin Standard Beetle 1947-1977 and Karmann Ghia (not Super Beetle). Get rid of those dinosaur front drum brakes and upgrade to the stopping power of disc brakes. Disc brakes have superior braking power over drums and since 70% of your braking is the front, the difference becomes night and day. This kit will convert your front drum brakes to disc brakes. It includes 2 new brake rotors, 2 new calipers with pads, 2 new dropped disc brake spindles, 4 wheel bearing, 2 grease seals and caliper mounting hardware. It is for 4 bolt wheel pattern (4 on 130 late model bug). Some (1966- to mid 1968) cars require 2 late model tie rod ends with 19mm tie rod end nuts instead of 17mm. There is no accommodations for backing plate when dropped spindles are used. Link pin kits require late model bug spindle nuts, thrust washers, and grease caps.
